Searching for calls and finding partners

Most importantly, a high-quality project proposal needs a well put-together consortium of  partners and finding the right call for projects.

Searching for the right call

All Horizon Europe calls are accessible through the single electronic portal Funding & tender opportunities. It is necessary to specify your search in the Search funding and tenders tab to include

  • the programming period 2021 – 2027,
  • and selecting the Horizon Europe programme.

In case you´re looking for one particular call, it is possible to search according to the call ID. Additionally, you can refine your search by filtering through the forthcoming, open, or closed calls.

Call details

Each call for projects provides its basic information: the call title, deadlines and a number of evaluation rounds (i.e. single-stage or two-stage), but also the work programme to which the call is part of. Along with the work programme, there is the call description. We recommend studying both sections in detail in order for the project proposal to perfectly match the conditions and needs set by the European Commission.

The section Conditions and documents provides all the relevant paperwork, for instance, there are links to the model grant agreement and the annotated model grant agreement or to the project proposal templates.

In the next section, frequently asked questions and contacts for the National contact points (NCPs) can be found. The Czech NCPs can be searched for on the FTOP but also through this website (link).

The Submission service allows you to submit the relevant project proposal right at the call´s site.

Partner search

Each call is equipped with a partner search feature which allows for match-making for the potential project partners. If you are already in an established consortium, it is possible to search for a particular project partner, at the same time, you can search for a consortium to join.

There also exist specialized brokerage events which are usually organized by the international networks of thematic NCPs. In case you are interested in taking part in a brokerage event, please contact the NCP in charge of your respective area of expertise (the list of Czech NCPs can be found on this link).

At this moment, the Technology Centre CAS is a member of a private network of institutions looking for collaboration within the Horizon Europe programme, the Crowdhelix Network.

The Technology Centre can help your organization find partners for your future Horizon Europe endeavors, especially if you are aiming at project coordination.

Minimum eligibility rules

It is necessary to remember the minimum rules for Horizon Europe consortia. Unless otherwise provided for in the specific call conditions, legal entities forming a consortium are eligible to participate in actions provided that the consortium includes:

- at least one independent legal entity established in a Member State;

and - at least two other independent legal entities, each established in different Member States or Associated Countries. More information about the Horizon Europe Associated Countries can be found here.
