The European Commission concluded the national info day series with a discussion on proposals and research valorization

19/06/2025

On 18 June 2025, the Technology Centre Prague, in cooperation with the European Commission and the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, organised the final event of the national info day series dedicated to Horizon Europe and the 2025 calls. The event focused on proposal preparation and the valorisation of research results.

The event attracted nearly 150 Czech researchers, project managers and representatives of research organisations. The programme featured presentations by European Commission representatives (Beatrice Plazzotta and Angelo Strano from DG RTD), an open Q&A session, and lively discussions on rules under Pillar II, proposal preparation, and project impact. Among the many practical insights shared during the event were the importance of focusing projects on specific societal challenges, the need to better describe the use and impact of research results, and a call for more Czech experts to register as expert evaluators. Participants were also reminded of available tools – from proposal templates and the CORDIS portal to support services provided by National Contact Points (NCPs).

This event marked the conclusion of the spring Horizon Europe national info day series. We hope it provided participants not only with useful information, but also with motivation to prepare and submit strong proposals. The NCP team at TC Prague remains available to support Czech applicants throughout the process.

Special thanks go to the Institute of Physics of the CAS for hosting the event and for their kind cooperation – including the opportunity for informal morning discussions with the institute's leadership and researchers.
