Association of Canada to Horizon Europe

Canada has oficially joined the second pillar of Horizon Europe as an associated country on July 3, 2024. Based on the association agreement, Canadian entities can now join and lead research consortia, they will also get the opportunity to be funded directly from the programme, while Canada will contribute to its budget.

Currently, negotiations on association are ongoing with Switzerland, while preparatory talks are taking place with Japan and Singapore.
