NetZeroCities project supports cities in their climate goals

NetZeroCities will help Europe in its ambition to achieve climate neutrality. The project comes in support of the EU’s Mission “100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030” and will provide cities with world-class expertise and services tailored to their needs.

NetZeroCities brings together 33 leading city networks and research organisations from 13 countries. The project is coordinated by EIT Climate-KIC, Europe’s largest public-private innovation partnership focused on climate innovation to mitigate and adapt to climate change.

On the 6th December 2023 the European Commission approved the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2023-2024  8. Climate, Energy and Mobility 12. Mission Cities (from page 86) First calls are to be opened on 13th December 2022, with deadlines in March and April 2023.
