EIT is looking for new Governing Board members

European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has launched the 2024 EIT Governing Board members call, which aims at selecting up to four more members to join the EIT Governing Board. The candidates should have:

  • At least five years of professional relevant experience in business, education, innovation and research,
  • An evidenced strong track record, achievements and widespread reputation in at least one of the following lines of work: innovator, academic, scientist, entrepreneur, business leader or investor,
  • An evidenced strong track record of knowledge triangle integration (i.e. cooperation among business, education and research) to foster innovation in Europe and globally,
  • An evidenced strong track record of building governance frameworks in large organisations or in impact investment or leading effective communication campaigns, 
  • An excellent knowledge of English. 

Interested individuals can apply until 28 October 2024 at 23:59 CET. All the necessary information and application forms related to the call can be found on the EIT website.

EIT also informed that the European Commission has recently appointed 5 new members to join the EIT Governing Board and strategically steer the EIT and its KICs:

  • Anne Borg (NO), Professor and former Rector of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology,
  • Dariusz Jemielniak (PL), Vice-President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Board Member of the Wikimedia Foundation,
  • Kyriacos Kokkinos (CY), Former Minister for Research, Innovation and Digital Policy of Cyprus,
  • Anna Lindén (FI), Chairperson of the Board of Innofactor, Vice-Chair of the Board of Åbo Akademi University,
  • Michel Mariton (FR), Vice-President for Economic Development, Université Paris-Saclay.
