EIT announced the winning project for EIT Culture & Creativity

On 23 June 2022, the EIT announced that the winning team is “ICE- Innovation by Creative Economy” consisting of 50 partners from 20 countries and coordinated by Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. This ninth KIC is designed to strengthen and transform Europe’s Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI) by connecting creatives and organisations to Europe’s largest innovation network. To facilitate EIT Culture & Creativity’s establishment, the EIT will provide the winning partnership with a start-up grant of up to EUR 6 million to ensure they become fully operational as soon as possible. The new KIC will work through 5 Co-location centres (CLC):

  • CLC North West: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
  • CLC North: Helsinki, Finland
  • CLC South: Bologna, Italy
  • CLC South West: Barcelona, Spain
  • CLC South East Europe & ALPS: Vienna, Austria
  • CLC East: Kosice, Slovakia.

Czech partners are not involved as core members but will join later on the basis of signed memorandum of cooperation.
