New calculator for estimating researchers’ salaries in MSCA projects

20/08/2026

Files:

Calculator MSCA Allowances - FINAL.xlsx

The Technology Centre Prague has developed an indicative calculator that clearly explains how contributions for researchers recruited under Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) projects are translated into gross and, ultimately, net salary.

The calculator is intended to help researchers and, in particular, project managers who are new to MSCA understand how the salary is calculated. It provides a clear illustration of the factors behind the difference between the total monthly MSCA contributions for recruited researchers and the net salary paid into the researcher’s bank account.

The calculator is intended for cases where the host institution pays the researcher’s Living Allowance, Mobility Allowance and, where applicable, Family Allowance as part of their salary. It reflects the conditions applicable in Czechia in 2026 and is intended for indicative and illustrative purposes only.

It is intended for the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships and Doctoral Networks schemes.
