The European Commission has launched a public consultation on the revision of the EIT Regulation with a feedback period from 12 August 2026 till 23 September 2026 (midnight Brussels time). Stakeholders are invited to share their views through the Commission's Have Your Say portal which can be accessed here:

European Institute of Innovation and Technology – revision of the EIT Regulation and the strategic innovation agenda

In total, there are 4 questions, concerning the main identified problems and challenges such as strengthening Europe's competitiveness through more efficient innovation ecosystems, the main features of the EIT common to all or most of its Knowledge and Innovation Communities, supporting Europe's attractiveness for talents, innovators and entrepreneurs, cooperation with other EU innovation instruments and EU financial programmes in the next multiannual financial framework, better flexibility and governance of ecosystems, the role of KICs in ensuring compliance with the protection of the EU's financial interests and ethical rules, etc.
