Technology Centre Prague, together with the Expert Group for Supporting ERC applicants, announces the opening of registration for this year’s preparatory workshops intended for applicants to the European Research Council (ERC) calls for 2027.

Registration will open on 16 March 2026 at exactly 12:00 (noon). The deadline is set for 22 March 2026 at 23:59.

Registration consists of two steps:

I. Completing one of the registration forms according to the relevant ERC scientific domain:

PHYSICAL SCIENCES AND ENGINEERING (PE)

LIFE SCIENCES (LS)

SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES (SH)

II. Submitting supporting documents (i.e. the applicant’s CV and track record, and the abstract of the project proposal) to the email address erc.es@tc.cz, no later than 24 hours after completing the registration form.

Please note that the workshops are open only to the Starting and Consolidator categories. Applicants must have a pre-arranged collaboration with a host institution in the Czech Republic. As part of the registration, applicants are required to name the contact person at the future host institution. We also note that applicants who are subject to a resubmission restriction related to their previous ERC grant application are not eligible to participate in the workshops.

Before submitting the materials required as part of the registration, we ask interested applicants to carefully read the detailed instructions provided in the attachment. In light of the change in the selection process compared to previous years, we strongly recommend paying close attention to the quality of the submitted materials, as they will be assessed by experts.

Do you have questions about the workshops? Do not hesitate to contact us at erc.es@tc.cz.

We look forward to receiving your applications!
