The aim of the recently launched CROSS project funded under the Horizon Europe call HORIZON-WIDERA-2024-ERA-02 and coordinated by the UCT Prague (VŠCHT) is to support researchers at all career stages in developing skills for diverse career paths in academia and beyond. The project contributes to implementing the new European Charter for Researchers and supports institutions working with the HR Excellence in Research Award. The project also aims to support sustainable talent circulation and contribute to a more balanced development of the research workforce within the ERA.

 Through CROSS, you can engage in one or more of the following areas:

  • Join the ResearchComp Community of Practice and take part in career-focused events that support researchers´ development beyond academia across Europe
  • Test and provide feedback on the European Commission’s Self-Assessment Tool for researchers
  • Help define key transversal skills for early-career researchers
  • Access tailored training programmes for career advisors
  • Participate in workshops, co-creation events, and networking opportunities
  • Connect with other institutions committed to researcher career development and HRS4R strategy
  • Take part in workshops, networking opportunities, and co-creation events to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration across sectors

All interested are now also invited you to our free Co-Creation Workshop on ResearchComp, taking place in person on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, 9:00–19:00 CEST EIT House, 7 Rue Guimard, 1040 Brussels, Belgium. This workshop will raise awareness of ResearchComp, collect stakeholder input for its practical implementation, and foster knowledge exchange through multi-stakeholder dialogue and sharing of best practices.
