EU ministers call for an independent FP10 – Warsaw Declaration adopted

On March 11, 2025, EU research ministers convened in Warsaw and adopted the so-called Warsaw Declaration, calling for the next EU research and innovation framework program (FP10) to remain a standalone program, rather than being integrated into a broader European Competitiveness Fund. The declaration also emphasizes the need to preserve the independence and expand the roles of the European Research Council (ERC) and the European Innovation Council (EIC) and simpliy rules and reduced administrative burden.
