EARMA and EUA Events on FP10 Preparations

On May 28, 2024, two events focused on the preparation of the 10th EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP10) will take place – one organized by the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) and the other by the European University Association (EUA). Both events will address different perspectives on FP10.

1. EARMA Information Meeting on FP10 Preparations

The European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) is pleased to announce an online information meeting to be held on May 28, 2024, which will focus on the organization's position paper on the upcoming 10th EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP10).

Speakers include Georg Schütte (Secretary General of the Volkswagen Foundation and member of the expert group on the interim evaluation of Horizon Europe and the future of the 10th Framework Programme) and Joachim Wiemann (DG RTD of the European Commission). The webinar will be moderated by Dipti Pandya, Chair of EARMA, and will also feature Eleonora Zuolo and Daniel Spichtinger from EARMA.

This meeting will provide the research management community with an opportunity to discuss the recommendations contained in EARMA's position paper. Participants will also receive up-to-date information on the current state of preparations for FP10.

2. EUA Webinar on FP10 Preparations

The European University Association (EUA) is pleased to announce an online webinar to be held on May 28, 2024, which will focus on shaping FP10 to strengthen its critical role as a catalyst for excellent, cooperative, inclusive, and impactful research and innovation (R&I) across Europe. The webinar will also address how the program can better support universities in fulfilling their R&I missions for the benefit of society.

Speakers include Massimiliano Esposito (DG RTD of the European Commission), Agata Janaszczyk (Permanent Representation of Poland to the EU), and Reko Leino (Vice-Rector for Research, Åbo Akademi University, Finland). The webinar will be moderated by Stephane Berghmans, Director for Research and Innovation at EUA.

This meeting will provide participants with the opportunity to discuss recommendations and strategies for FP10. Participants will also receive up-to-date information on the current state of preparations for FP10.
