EC publishes three reports on possible EEI

On 21 November 2023, the European Commission published 3 reports informing a possible European Excellence Initiative (EEI) to empower universities in their research and innovation mission, and help Member States to set up national support. EEI is part of the new European Research Area and sets out the intention to strengthen the research and innovation dimension of universities through a comprehensive transformation agenda, empowering universities to develop in line with the ERA.
