COST Information Day
On 24 May 2023, the online COST Info Day took place and was open to interested researchers and innovators The aim was to them about how to connect with COST Actions or submit a COST Action proposal, the role and impact of the COST programme, and the benefits of participating in COST for researchers’ careers, with a focus on young researchers. On the COST webpage here, you can now download all presentations, then a Q&A document with answers to questions received, and a video recording of the whole event.
70 new COST Actions approved
On 12 May 2023, COST’s Governing board, the Committee of Senior Officials (CSO), confirmed the funding of 70 new COST Actions, that will officially start in Autumn 2023. As an indicator of multidisciplinary of the new Actions, 54% of all Actions cover at least two OECD fields of science and technology, while 11% cover at least three fields. The success rate for applications in this Open Call (OC-2022-1) was 18.7%. For more information, go to this COST press release.
COST – JRC MoU extended for another 5 years
COST is delighted to have intensified cooperation with the Joint Research Centre (JRC) over recent years, as formalised by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the two organisations back in 2015. This MoU has recently been in May 2023 extended until early 2028. The primary objective of the updated MoU is to maintain and intensify the ongoing partnership between the JRC and COST on strategic items of mutual interest. In addition, the MoU will form the basis for exchange of information and best practices between both partners. Read the whole news here
