COST MoU with the US NSF and joint session at the Science Summit 2024

COST and the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) signed on 18 June 2024 a Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate international networking and research coordination opportunities for scientists supported by the two funding schemes. The MoU was signed by Dr Kendra Sharp, Office Head of the Office of International Science and Engineering, representing NSF, and prof. Salvatore Grimaldi, President of the COST Association. As part of the Science Summit at the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA79), COST is co-organising a session with the U.S. NSF's AccelNET Program in New York. This collaborative hybrid event entitled “Hurdles to International Science Cooperation: Data Sharing & Management” takes place on 23 September 2024 from 8.30 to 12.00 (EDT New York time) or 14.30 to 18.00 (CEST time).
