Cluster 4 - topics with financial support to third countries

25/10/2021

Cascade Funding in Horizon Europe, also known as Financial Support for Third Parties (FSTP), is a European Commission mechanism to distribute funding from project consortia to the third parties, mostly SMEs, in order to uptake or develop innovative digital technologies.

Cluster 4 calls involve 24 topics (see files to download) recommending implementation of FSTP mechanism, in which consortia publish their own calls for proposals /“open calls“/ and provide financial support in the form of grants.

Cascade funding typically occurs mainly in calls of Cluster 4.

Other Clusters also involve topics with FSTP, but to a lesser extent.

An overview of Horizon 2020 "Open calls" is available at https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/portal/screen/opportunities/competitive-calls
