On 9 July 2024, the European Research Council Work Programme with calls for proposals for the year of 2025 was published. The Work Programme envisions calls for all main ERC grants, i.e. Starting, Consolidator, Advanced as well as Synergy. As in 2024, there will be two cut-off dates of the ERC Proof-of-Concept call intended for ERC Principal Investigators of ongoing or recently finished projects.
As for the novelties, the new Work Programme introduces new grounds for the extension of the eligibility period for Starting and Consolidator Grants. These are disability as well as major disasters, be it natural or man-made.
