Changes in evaluation of ERC proposals from 2024 calls

19/12/2022

At its December plenary meeting, ERC Scientific Council made a decision to amend the evaluation of project proposals submitted to 2024 calls.

As for the structure of project proposals, the “CV” and “Track-record” parts shall be combined. During the evaluation itself, more weight will be put on the quality of a project proposal than on proving the applicant's capacity of to implement the project based on his/her previous achievements.

New requirements will be explained in more detail in the ERC Work Programme 2024.

The first calls for proposals to be assessed using the new methodological guidance can be expected to be opened in autumn 2023.
