Discover EU is an initiative of the European Commission and a part of the Erasmus+ programme. It allows young people aged 18 to travel for free across Europe for between one day and one month.

The aim is to encourage young people to discover the cultural diversity and heritage of the EU. Selected applicants will receive a free ticket for travels mainly by train, but in some cases by other means of travel,  such as ferry. Applications can be submitted for up to 5 people. Applicants must be EU citizens (or from associated countries in the Erasmus+ programme) and start their journey in the EU and travel to at least one foreign country. 30,000 travel passports will be distributed together with a Youth Card, valid for one year, offering discounts on cultural and sporting events, local transport, accommodation and meals.

This year, applicants born between 1 June 2006 and 30 July 2007 are eligible to apply for a travel period of up to one month between 1 July 2025 and 30 September 2026.
