Invitation to the National Information Day on ERC grants

We cordially invite you to the National Information Day on the European Research Council (ERC) grants, which will take place on November 19, 2025, at the Rectorate of Charles University (in person only). The event is organized by the Technology Centre Prague, in cooperation with the Charles University and the Expert Group for supporting ERC applicants.

The National Information Day aims to introduce the Czech research community to the ethos of ERC calls, summarize the essentials of the rules for participation, and provide tips for writing project proposals from an evaluator’s perspective. The National InfoDay will conclude with a panel discussion on the topic "Is the Czech research environment ready to accept the ERC programme as its important part?"

We are honored to announce that during the event, ERC President Prof Maria Leptin will hold an online speech about the recent changes by the ERC Scientific Council regarding the proposal structure and evaluation, with the possibility of raising questions in the follow-up Q&A. Among the speakers, a number of experienced Czechia-based evaluators and PIs will be present, incl. Prof. Tomáš Jungwirth, a former member of the ERC Scientific Council, or Dr. Adam Williamson, ERC Ambassador for Czechia.

Registration is open until November 14, 2025. We recommend registering early, as the capacity of the hall is limited.
