Webinar for applicants: EIC Transition Open 2025

The webinar on EIC Transition Open that we organized on June 5th was intended for potential applicants to the 2025 call for proposals. The objective was to present to the participants the rules and principles of the programme, and to share useful information, tips, and experiences that can help them prepare a project proposal and successfully navigate through the evaluation process.

EIC Transition supports activities that increase the market readiness of results from projects carried out under the Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, and European Defence Fund programmes. Selected applicants (individual entities or consortia) can receive funding of up to €2.5 million and access to a range of support services (Business Acceleration Services). A list of projects whose results are eligible for this year’s call is available here.

This year, the EIC Transition call has a budget of €98 million and will close on September 17 at 17:00.

The webinar focused on:

• Introduction into the EIC Transition and the programme´s main principles
• What´s important for applicants in the key documents
• Common shortcomings
• Possible scenarios for technology development and commercialization strategy advancement
• The concepts of technology and business readiness level
• Key elements of the proposal from a business plan perspective (and what to plan in the implementation)
• Intellectual property
• Evaluation process and criteria
• Pitch deck for the jury interview
• Experiences from a project implementation and outcomes of a successful project
